One of the most important aspects of the Powerchip engine software upgrade is the improvements made to the Power and Torque throughout the power band. For most vehicles we can improve the performance by about 10%, with software for most turbo vehicles giving up to 25% more power and torque.
The relationship between engine power and torque has a direct relationship to acceleration and "off the line" performance. When power and torque are increased, the acceleration of your vehicle improves accordingly. Your acceleration will improve with Powerchip enhanced software in your engine.

Each Powerchip program is developed to improved the performance at each throttle opening position, which means that if you even touch your foot lightly on the gas your engine will respond instantly.

State-of-art equipment is used to read and enhance the software program inside your vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and tune the vehicle to suit the gasoline that you run in your vehicle. Your Dodge SRT-4 Turbo 2.4 utilizes a Surface Mount Chip (SMT) ? a very sophisticated and powerful memory device which is fitted to many late model (post 1996) vehicles. Because of its complexity, the SMT style chip must be 'flash' programmed in the same way as the dealership (don't worry - we do this for you when we recieve your ECU), similarly to when servicing the vehicle. The ECU itself is very easy to remove, and should be sent overnight to be modified at Powerchip and then return overnight to you (we use FedEx Priority Overnight Service).
From the factory, the SRT-4 Turbo 2.4 produces 230 hp and 250 lb.-ft. With Powerchip software, it can produce 255-262 hp and 280-285 lb.-ft.
ECU upgrade comes with choice of 91 Octane or 93 Octane fuel. Please specify below.
